Mode of action:

The primary pharmacodynamic effect of Botulinum toxin type A is a chemical denervation of the treated muscle, resulting in a measurable decrease of the compound muscle action potential. This causes a localized reduction of muscle activity. When injected intramuscularly, the toxin induces paralysis of the affected muscle which temporarily reduces muscle activity.

Contraindications:

• Known hypersensitivity to any botulinum toxin products or to any of the excipients.
• Presence of infection at the proposed injection sites.
• Presence of myasthenia gravis, Eaton Lambert Syndrome or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Store in a refrigerator at 2–8°C.

Keep vials in the outer carton in order to protect from light.
